As we are generating feelings of loving-kindness, compassion, and goodwill directed inward, we intentionally extend wishes for our own well-being, happiness, and peace. This stage can be surprisingly challenging as emotions like self-criticism, cultural conditioning, misunderstood self-love, unresolved inner turmoil, or lack of prioritization might surface.
